Care on the Corner Activities

Blanket/Tool Sunday ~ Sunday, May 11th
Mother's Day is also Blanket Sunday. On Sunday, May 11th, members of the Community of purchase of blankets for those in the world who are cold and help families strengthen homes lives and livelihoods.


Episcopal Response to Aids  Sunday, May 18th
Help raise money for the Episcopal HIV/AIDS Programs in the Greater NY Area!  The Episcopal Response to Aids invites you to join with other local parishes Sunday, May 18th in participating in AIDS Walk NY. Register at www.aidswalk.net or call 212-807-WALK.

When?   Memorial Day Parade Monday, May 26th
The Hasbrouck Heights Annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 26th.  This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who have died in military service to their country. It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War. After World War I, it was expanded to include those who died in any war or military action.


St. John's Sunday Book Talks
We invite you to join us on Sunday's during May after Sunday Services. We will discuss Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love". #1 N.Y. Times Bestseller about one woman's journey to discover God and self.

Sip a cup of coffee and have a delicious piece of cake as we discuss this book that is read at your own pace.

Liturgy in the Park and Sunday Picnic ~ June 8th
All are invited to join our Parish Family Sunday, June 8th at 10 a.m. when we hold our Sunday Service followed by a picnic at:

There will hamburgers, hot dogs  supplied by St. John the Divine and we all will supply the fun!! 

So if you are up "this neck of the woods" Sunday, June 8th -please join the Family of St. John's for a great day!


Don't Forget …. our Shop-Rite and A&P Compensation program!
Please remember to purchase your supermarket gift cards for either Shop-Rite and A&P.  The cards are used the same as any debit card and at any Shop-Rite or A&P store location!

While the cards are good for the entire amount purchased, St. John's receives a 5%  commission from your purchase and relies on this as a great fund raiser. The cards say "GIFT" on them and the gift is to ST. John's.

So before you go grocery shopping, get your grocery cards and help St. John's while you shop. The cards are for sale during coffee hour on Sunday or you can call the Church office for your week's or month's supply!
