The Rev. Joseph S. Pickard, Vicar Our Mission The congregation of St. John the Divine mission is to celebrate and live out the
teachings and ministry of Jesus Christ by offering healing, spiritual guidance, support and comfort to all people. In our local community, we are known as: "the church with the flags".
Our flags represent members of St. John the Divine and the countries where their ancestors have come from. At St. John's, we strive to live as written in scripture: "Do
not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13.2
Following the vision of our Bishop: "Radical hospitality means that all are welcome. All the time. Radical hospitality means that we will not only welcome the stranger; we will
seek out the stranger -- and work to develop a process that transforms us all into neighbors." - Mark Beckwith
The Right Reverend Mark Beckwith Bishop of Newark
At St. John's, our banner says it all: "All Are Welcome"There are many email addresses that we do not have or are out of date. If you know
someone who's not receiving the notifications, please have them send and email to Joseph Ianiro below.
He is the point of contact for developing and seeing that St. John the Divine's Web Site is up to date.
